Dr. Mukesh Vir Singh is a distinguished medical professional with an extensive career in the field of Pediatrics. Currently serving as the Principal of the Autonomous State Medical College, Auraiya, he has an impressive background in teaching, research, and administrative roles. He completed his MBBS from MLN Medical College, Allahabad, followed by a Diploma in Child Health (D.CH.) from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, and M.D. in Pediatrics from S.N. Medical College, Agra. With a robust educational background, Dr. Singh has made significant contributions to the field of Pediatrics over his distinguished career.
Dr. Singh has held key academic positions, including Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics at MLN Medical College, Prayagraj. He also spent 12 years at the UP University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, advancing from Lecturer to Professor. Throughout his career, he has been committed to academic excellence, contributing 41 research publications in national and international journals and serving as a guide for more than 35 postgraduate theses.
An active leader in the medical community, Dr. Singh served as the Vice President of the Allahabad Branch of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) from 2019 to 2021. He is also a certified trainer for several important pediatric programs, including NRP, NSSK, IMNCI, F-IMNCI, and RRTC, demonstrating his dedication to advancing pediatric healthcare.
Dr. Singh’s contributions have earned him several prestigious awards, including the 33rd Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan National Teacher Award and the Rashtriya Gaurav Award in 2009. His expertise has been recognized by various professional bodies, and he has served as an MCI Inspector, evaluating medical colleges across India. He has also been involved in faculty recruitment as a member of interview committees and has lent his expertise to the Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commissions, as well as UPUMS Saifai.
